Winter Sky

After successive rainy days for about 2 weeks,
it finally turned sunny. Went for a walk at DaAn
park and shot this photo.
Spring is around the corner!

Art & Architecture

There was an exhibition of the Taiwan aboriginal
artwork at CKS Memorial Hall. Among all the
sculptures this female figure is my favorite.
Sexily chiselled yet also makes me feel creepy
by showing a body cut open from the neck down to
the abdomen. However, the mysterious spinal cord
revealed is as elegant as the superficial curvature.
A perfect mixture of fantasies and mysteries.

Discover the Angel

Playing with the Photoshop. I like this
composition of a cool man, a sign of "no left
turn" and chinese characters of "the forgotten
angel."

REFRACTive+expressION

= REFRACTION

We hide our emotions under our expressions,
what people comprehend is only a refraction;
We expose ourselves to others at a certain
angle - everyone has his own refractive index.

Unveiling NTU

I used to stay in the lab or study room in our
department until midnight, sometimes 2 or 3AM.
The experience of strolling in the quiet campus is
totally different...not only because there's no one
around but the cool freshening breeze along with the
enigmatic atmosphere.

Behind the veil of midnight, although it's where we
undergone all those miserable midterms and finals,
the campus reveals its beauty and seemed so exotic!!

Pillars and Trees

You can never see these colors during the day...

it's a reward only for those who studied hard at night,
haha...

Admitted, I had to stay up late cuz' the next day was
deadline (for a project or exam). Yes I WAS studying
hard...as the last-minute struggle ><:

Park, When We Wanna Rest

DaAn Park(大安森林公園)

In a sunny afternoon when I ain't busy,
I'd seek for tranquility in this bustle Taipei City.
Breezy winds, flapping leaves and chirping birds,
are the soothing doses for my anxious nerves.

--
FYI, there are several coffee shops(Starbucks, Dante)
just around the park...I'm sure you'll love to grab a cup
of coffee and enjoy a novel on a bench in the "woods" :P

Une Fille

(this is a practice of guiding the focus by desaturating background)

A cute little girl surrounded by pigeons and her grandparents.
The birds aren't afraid of people, so it's quite easy to shoot close shots.

Before Sunset

Last Summer(2004) my cousins and I went to
the Stratosphere Tower in LA. This "X-scream" is at
866 feet, the world's 3rd highest thrill ride. It dangles people
27 feet outside the edge of the tower. If you look down...
you'll get the idea that it's always better to
get "down to earth".
